Unraveling: Exploring the Fragility of the Human Spirit
As we begin the new year, I find myself drawn to the delicate nature of human resilience—the ways we endure, evolve, and transform through life’s trials. These thoughts have sparked a new concept I’m excited to bring to life: Unraveling.
This series is still taking shape, but the idea feels raw and urgent. It’s about capturing the beauty within struggle—the moments where we feel like we’re falling apart and yet, somehow, we come through the other side changed, defined by what we’ve faced. I want to explore how our unique challenges mold us, leaving marks that tell a story of both fragility and strength.
![]() | I’ve been reflecting on a quote from Admiral Jim Stockdale that feels deeply connected to this journey: “You must never confuse faith that you will prevail in the end—which you can never afford to lose—with the discipline to confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might be.” |
This balance—between faith in the end and confronting hard truths—is at the heart of Unraveling. It’s about honoring the tension between hope and hardship, and how both are necessary for transformation.
Right now, these ideas are swirling in my mind, waiting to find their form. I can already feel the energy behind them, and I’m eager to see how they evolve as I work through the creative process.
This year, I want to dive deeper into art that feels honest, that wrestles with universal truths about what it means to live and grow. Unraveling is just the start, and I’m excited to share more as these ideas come to life.
Thank you for following along and being part of this journey. Here’s to creating something meaningful in 2025.
