Stillness, After Everything | Original Story
A look behind my original drawing Stillness, After Everything
There are seasons where the noise finally stops—not because things are better, but because they’ve unraveled past the point of resistance. The collapse has already happened. The fight, the pleading, the holding-it-all-together... it’s done.
What’s left is something quieter.
Not peaceful, exactly.
But honest.

Stillness, After Everything
That’s where Stillness After Everything came from.
A moment that doesn’t need to explain itself.
A pause so full it hums.
I wasn’t chasing beauty when I made this piece. I wasn’t trying to be profound. I was just letting something move through me—something shaped by all the things we carry that never quite get words.
Stillness isn’t easy for me. My mind races, my hands twitch to make something, fix something, prove something. But sometimes, God doesn’t move in the storm. Sometimes He waits in the stillness. And when I finally stop moving, I can almost hear Him.
There’s a quiet I’ve come to trust.
Not because it feels good.
But because it feels real.
This piece holds that space.
That holy in-between where everything hurts, but you’re still here. Where the silence isn’t empty—it’s sacred.
Thank you for letting me share more than just the image, but the heart behind it. How does this piece impact you? I would love to hear from you.
